LIFE SMART AgroMobility in the summer courses at UVa

The LIFE SMART AgroMobility project held the I Summer Course – Production of biogas on farms and use in sustainable mobility, organized by UVa (University of Valladolid) on July 15 and 16, 2021 at the facilities of the Duques de Soria Campus.

In the course, the technologies and possibilities of biogas production in the livestock field were exposed. The presentations were focused on the following topics: production of biogas, vehicular use of biogas, integration in farms, sustainable fertilization, and emission reduction. The course counted with the participation of LIFE SMART Agromobility speakers, and other speakers from different LIFE proyects with a similar subject matter and other entities, both public and private sector.

The speakers of the LIFE SMART AgroMobility project were Laura Sánchez Martín for part of the UPM with an explanatory presentation of the project itself and another referring to the “Environmental and economic opportunities of the capture and use of CO2”. Carlos Reparaz Martín from Everis Ingeniería with a presentation on “Low cost anaerobic digesters”. Carla García Heras from GASNAM presenting “The use of biomethane in mobility” and Alfonso García Álvaro from UVa with “Hybridization of technologies in anaerobic digestion”.
