The LIFE SMART AgroMobility project has participated in the summer course ‘Contribution of technologies for the capture, storage and use of CO2 to the bioeconomy ’, organized by the UAL (University of Almeria), PTECO2 (Platform Tecnológica Española del CO 2) and ceiA3 (Campus of International Excellence Agrifood) on the days of July 7 to 9, 2021.

In general, an analysis of the technologies of capture, storage and use of CO2 (CAUC) as tools to promote the bioeconomy and mitigate the greenhouse emissions was developed. Thanks to the participation of specialists from recognized prestige in the field, it have been exposed said technologies focused on a economic and sustainable development. And especially, LIFE SMART AgroMobility project has demonstrated the importance of the role of CAUC technologies in the circular economy, as a case study.

The value of the project has been shown in terms of reducing gases in the different agro-livestock and transport sectors. Likewise, the sum of production of high added value fertilizers, promotes the closing of the cycle towards a circular economy, reducing the use and impact of synthetic chemical fertilizers. However, centralization in the new fuel production model alternatives such as biomethane, begins to be in the spotlight of society current.
