Activities

LIFE SMART AgroMobility project seeks to demonstrate the viability of distributed biogas generation as a strategy to reduce the environmental impact of agro-industrial activity.

The expected results include the following points:

• Pig slurry-biodigestion: capacity 150 m3 generating 336 tn CH4/year and, avoiding 730 tn CO2/year in the form of diffuse emissions.
• Biomethane production, upgrading: photobioreactor 1,500 m2, obtaining 80 m3/day of biogas.

• Supply and logistics: high purity biomethane compressed to 250 bar.
• Biomethane as biofuel: two vehicles capable of driving 280,000 km/year.
• Biofertilizer production: from microalgae for N, P, phytohormones and natural fungicides.

LIFE SMART AgroMobility project comprises the following activities:

C1: BASIC AND DETAILED ENGINEERING OF THE PROTOTYPE

Starting with the conceptual engineering and, once the location has been selected, the calculations and administrative permits necessary to build the slurry management and biomethane production prototype are developed.
